1947 – Transport activity created in Chartres by Maurice Sizaire.

1953 – Jacques Sizaire joined the activity set up by his father, and was involved in the company's development.

1987 – Thierry and David, Jacques' sons, created Sitrans Sàrl and built their first warehouse to develop their transport offer.

1997 – The company adopted the form of a public company ("société anonyme") – Sitrans Logistique – with two subsidiaries – Sitrans Transports, specialising in regional and national distribution, and Sitrans Entreposage, specialising in order preparation, stock management, and warehousing. It moved to a plot of land covering 5 hectares alongside the A11 motorway, with a building offering 6 000 sq.m. of space.

1999 – A second programme of work was launched, extending the building to 12 000 sq.m.

2001 – Sitrans Logistique acquired more buildings and added capacity for 8 000 palettes.

2005 – Sitrans Logistique built a new additional site for preparing orders and warehousing in Chartres as part of the "Parc du Jardin d’Entreprises" [a business "garden"], offering an additional 9 000 places.

2006 – Sitrans Logistique opened Building E, with a further 6 000 places for palettes.

2009 – Sitrans Logistique launched the extension of the Chartres site, to double its area. The Group now represents 200 employees, a fleet of 180 vehicles, and 40 000 sq.m. of warehouses and sites for preparing orders. It has developed advanced IT systems giving it very great adaptability and reactivity to its customers' jobs.

The operating sites are spread over an area of less than a kilometre, and are linked by fibre optics.
